I thought Gov. Palin did a great job. I like how she talked about what she did in her own state in her job. People need to know that. In her interviews asking her about newspapers... I don't care about that, questions that should have been asked were things like what have you done in your state, tell us about your reform bill, tell us about your breaking the monopoly on these oil companies, tell us about the pipeline you negotiated but sadly those are the things that the MSM doesn't want us to know about.
I love how she talked in terms of the war and about not pulling out until the generals and the people on the ground there say we are ready.
I love her calling out on Biden how he disagreed with Obama up until 5 weeks ago.
As far as how she sounded folksy, I have been looking around the net seeing her in meetings and conferences and she doesn't sound that way when serious business it being done. You know General Patton was a well educated man but he spoke to his troops in the way that he knew he would come across to them. I think she knows when to do both and I think it showed as she was mixed between the two.
I would love to see the media give her credit for awesome things she has done as governor of her state in the short time she has been in office but sadly they are not about to do that. On Fox last night they even had one of the guys that she beat out in in the governor's race who fully supports her and said she has done a wonderful job as governor and that he thinks she would make a wonderful VP, again you aren't going to see that in MSM.
As far as Biden, sure I think he did great, he has been around the block, I also thought he sounded "know it all at times" which translates to me as he is been there and is a part of the whole darn mess. He also rattled off votes and bills and that to me only says, "blah, blah, blah" most people don't know what I'm talking about anyways but it sounds good.
I would also like to say that I'm in awe of someone who can take a beating like that in the press, the internet and those Hollywood peeps and still come out there and stand up and face those people. She truly comes across to me as someone who wants to make a difference in the world and that her heart is in the right place and looking at her record as governor I see someone who doesn't just talk about it but gets it done.

Gosh! I'm so glad I heard about this blog, saw you guys on CNN. As a born again Christian (as all Christians, of course, are)I too want to fellowship with persons of like minds and hearts. The problem is, I've been a Christian a long, long time. Long enough to know that Christ would never bash or prejudge people. That Christ loves us as Christians no matter what our color, or our middle names. That when He told us to love our enemies, He didn't want us to kill them. That He, as we should be, is tolerant, loving, and kind. On another note, as a thinking Christian mom, I certainly do want someone who is not, Susie hockey mom" or "Joe six pack" in the White House. I want someone who is not a regular guy, or gal, in there. I don't want someone who graduated third from the bottom of his class at Annapolis ( and crashed five jets--it isn't patriotic to crash jets) in a class of more than 450, as President. I am a Christian mom. I have Christian values. My Lord has taught me many things. One of them, "Judge not, lest ye be judged." guides me daily. Tolerance is my motto, grace, my watchword.
Ladies, your tongues are a powerful weapon. Think. What would Jesus really do? Would he put a woman who drags her children all over the country, and keeps them out LATE at night, a woman who is vicious with her tongue and bashes others, a woman who belongs to a party whose interest is far from caring for the least of these, your brethern, in a leadership position? Ladies, you are wrong. A true Christian is humble, unjudging, and has a servant's heart--to the least of these, your breathern.
Sad site... I feel pity for the women after watching you bare your souls and reveal such an amazing lack of knowledge. Have you actually listened to Sarah speak and "answer" questions?
Obama is a Christian and Jesus was arabic. There were no Muslim arabs during Jesus' time, in fact Islam was not founded yet. Almost all Lebanese a few decades ago were Christians.
Now lets imagine that Sarah Palin was Black .....
Yes Sarah was good at the debate, she almost seemed real.
Hey arealchristianmom, that was one of the most awesome responses I have seen on one of the blogs, EVER! So kudos to you and as for the blogger for Moms for Sarah Palin - I hope that you don't just dismiss her thoughtful words in your comments and that you actually find some quiet time in which to allow it to resonate as you pray over these thoughts, these Christian ideologies & allow God to work through you as well as in you!
"They say" that beauty in the eyes of the beholder" and I guess you could say honesty and goodness is in the ear of the listener. This really was not a debate. Biden said something and then Sarah "tried to make the square peg fit into the round hole." I do love when she said that she was not going to answer the questions the way the American people hoped she would do. That's about the only honesty I have heard from the govenor; she just used stump speeches and tried to convince everyone that she "was one of them." Dear God, I hope not!
I'm a Yankee living in the South so I find accents charming but I do not find poor grammar and poor speech anything but disturbing. Today is Columbus Day and McCain gave a speech where he calls himself "the under dog" and "he's a fighter." Well, watching the news, Sarah remained with an almost painful look on her face when McCain was "trying to play nice" and criticize Bush, his best buddy. Sarah likes it down and dirty. This is not her style. Maybe it was McCain's pollsters that told him Sarah went to far in her hate mongering or it was Sarah being booed at the NHL (by "her people" who hate the way they have been portrayed), or maybe McCain is trying to reinvent himself once again. First, he was the maveric. Second, he was devoted to Bush in an effort to get the base who were never happy with him in the first place. Third, he was the erratic economist and "non-partisan" (LOL) that fell on his face. Fourth, he became the man who attacked Obama on personal issues as the nation 's economy was going down in flames. Now he is the reconciler who wants to be seem as a hero again, not the zero he has become due in large part to his selection of this brash, ignorant, mean, hateful, fear monger-Sarah Palin.
I read in another blog something that is worth repeating about hatred and fear, once the genie is released, it cannot be put back in the bottle. One week of hatred and fear is all that is needed to incite the misinformed and ill-informed and the nuts of the world. Million can love you and it only thakes one nut to end a dream! Let's face it, the people who were yelling, "Kill him," "off with his head," "He's a Moslem," "Traitor," are not the people who watch the news or read the newspapaer (Like Sarah Palin). They got what they wanted from the rallies and they are done until the election. The response from Rep. Davis as well as all caring and decent Americans might cause MCCain, in his usual state of confusion to say,"My friends, I can't seem to control the virulence I've created.
The best summary ever, wrapped it up in a clever little parody."
Though you might have thought Palin was a novelty and you might have thought that finally the republicans acknowledge women in their party but Palin is not the right woman. Kaye Bailey Hutchinson would have been. Palin also is no Hillary. Hillary is intelligent, world-wise, a great mother, a great leader, and a great role model for our daughters. Palin on the other hand seems like the child on the playground that is a bully. If we were hypothetically Sarah's mother, we would punish her for her constant lies and her meaness to others. Sarah Palin sets the women's movement back tot eh sixties. She is no friend of women or in fact no friend of our nation. Hopefully we have moved beyond stereotypes and unfounded prejudices. Some people say that by the year 2040, we will not be a nation of white or black people but rather a nation of brown people. I think God would be happy.I do not think Jesus was lily white, do you?
