From Sarah Palin's facebook:
The choice of photo for the cover of this week's Newsweek is unfortunate. When it comes to Sarah Palin, this "news" magazine has relished focusing on the irrelevant rather than the relevant. The Runner's World magazine one-page profile for which this photo was taken was all about health and fitness - a subject to which I am devoted and which is critically important to this nation. The out-of-context Newsweek approach is sexist and oh-so-expected by now. If anyone can learn anything from it: it shows why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, gender, or color of skin. The media will do anything to draw attention - even if out of context.
- Sarah Palin
The cover of Newsweek asks "How do you solve a problem like Sarah?" Which only makes me think of the nuns singing in the Sound of Music, How do you solve a problem like Maria? The nuns couldn't control Maria's free spirit therefore they didn't know what to do with her because she wouldn't conform and she was different from the rest of them. In the end though Maria becomes the heroin. Maria is kind and wise, she stands up to the Captain for what is right. She is exactly what the von Trapp kids need. In the end of the movie Maria helps to save the family from the Nazis.
What's even more ironic about it is the movie is all about making tough choices, having faith in God, and doing the right thing even if it is a bit uncomfortable.

If you will be kind enough to allow me, I would like to propose a toast:
Here's to Sarah Palin; may she never - EVER - go away.
I am going to go out on a limb here: No woman since Eleanor Roosevelt has done more to further the cause of progressive politics in the United States of America than our Sarah.
Don'cha just love her? I sure do!

Tom, why would a liberal like you waste your time posting on a small time blog like mine? If you are trying to dig up readers for your blog I think you have missed your target market.
Sadly though it's people like you that don't realize this isn't like picking a football team.
This is about our country and what is good for it.
Obama's policies are disastrous. Stimulus to create jobs? Sure it might but only pennies on the dollar would ever reach the point of helping anyone. It's merely money recycling, it doesn't create new wealth.
The funniest thing I think about the left and Obama is him trying to make friends with those countries that do not view us favorably. They will be our friend the day people like you show respect for Sarah Palin.
