The more I think about the attacks on Gov. Sarah Palin the more it makes me think of those good old days in high school. Back in those days I really didn't belong to a group. I was more of a loner and being a loner gave me lots of time to be an observer. I moved to a new school in my teens and right off I found myself being attacked by the popular girls and anyone that didn't go along with them could be the next potential target. In fact as vicious as high school is, it could possibly be where Alinsky came up with his "Rules for Radicals".
This is exactly how I feel about Gov. Palin. She is the new girl and a threat to the "established" group. She threatens the way the liberal democrats want women to think about how they are the party for empowerment of women however, that hardly looks to be case when all they can do is attack Palin, who has proved herself to be a successful woman in her on right.
Palin is also for personal responsibilty, what work?, earn?, manage your own life?, and feel good about yourself and your life... oh no, no, we can't have that. The left need people on welfare and government programs to vote for them. They are the party of "help" which in other circles would be called enablement.
Back to high school again, there is always that one perky girl that is part of the clique, the one that goes out of her way to act as if she is nice to "new girl" so that she can in the nicest way be condescending and show her up. Anyone come to mind? Katie Couric ring a bell?
So, my point here is that when applying the high school mindset. We as grown up adults must not be so swayed by the pettiness of the other group, we should not be bullied into believing what is right or wrong but draw our own conclusions and that those that are in the middle of the road must see past the chatter for the talking heads in the main stream media. We must all get back to some conservative values. Really when it all boils down the things the media and the left dug and dug, came up with clothes that she didn't even buy and some other petty bull. I would think that you would have to be totally ignorant or brainwashed for these things to make you think she is unworthy the position of president.
I don't mean that all that would support Palin would have to be anti-abortion or a Bible beater, as the left wants to paint the right to be, I am neither. What we need is for those people to see that "conservative" is about conserving the founding principles of our great and unique country! The U.S.A. is unique, and for those that believe we should be the shining city on the hill and not just another socialist country need to get busy speaking up and speaking out. She is worth fighting for. That is why I would support Palin wholeheartedly if she decided to run for president. I believe she believes what this country was founded on I feel that in heart she wants to preserve our extraordinary place on this planet where we tell our children they can be anything they want to be. A country that people have risked their lives to get here for the promise of a better life, the American Dream.
