Bill Rejected for Welfare Drug Testing

This bill was to require States to implement drug testing programs for applicants for and recipients of assistance under the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, which would encourage healthy, drug-free families instead of encouraging dependent behavior or on-going drug abuse.

You can see who voted what way for this at http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=111&session=1&vote=00153#position

Hey there! I always enjoy checking out your blog, and just noticed the quote you have at the bottom of the page by Paglia. Would you mind sharing with me what article you found that in? I'd love to link to it on my blog. I've never read that, and it's rather interesting!

Keep on keeping on! We're all in this together!
